Who is Daclaud Lee?
My name is Daclaud Lee and I am a resident of Columbus Ohio. I have always had an interest in designing and developing websites and I have made it my chosen career path. I am a self described geek and this site is just meant to be a blog about my hobbies, which include miniature painting/converting, movies and going out to different places in Columbus (too many to mention and since I have a short attention span, I may lose interest in certain things just to regain it again at a later time).
Since I have more than one website (Also visit Random Interviews for some funny satire), I may not be able to update this as often as I would like (as with everyone, real world stuff gets in the way), but I will try my best to post any hobby related stuff, computer games (Steam sales) and Netflix movie reviews whenever I can.

What Kind of Music does Daclaud Lee Listen to?
Nowadays my taste in music varies and I seem to have an ear for almost everything, but this wasn't always the case. When I was really young (I'm talking preteen me) I listened to 90's Gangsta rap like Onyx, Cypress Hill, Naughty by Nature, Public Enemy and others. Before that, I really can't remember what I listened to, but it seemed to be whatever was playing on the radio, which was usually pop music at the time. I listened to Gangsta rap until high school, when my tastes began to mature and I started to listen to more rock, industrial and alternative rock music.
I remember discovering Depeche Mode, New Order and Orgy. By the year 2000 I only liked synthpop and electronic music. My obsession with electronic music lasted for the next decade and it wasn't until recently that I started to gain appreciation to other types of music.

What Type of Movies does Daclaud Lee like to Watch?
I grew up watching a lot of horror, action and animated movies. My earliest memories of movies were when I was a kid (5 or 6 years old), my mom would always watch horror movies with me and my lounger brother. on the weekends. She would always drive us out to the convenience store and buy snacks (chips, candy and cola) right before the movies would start. Back then there was a program called Saturday Nightmares on the USA channel that played a different B Horror movie each weekend, and we would ritually do this until they would eventually cancel the series. I basically grew up on horror movies.
By the time I was a preteen, I discovered I liked anime movies because I was just fascinated by the artwork and character development. My love of horror movies pretty much followed me into adulthood, but nowadays, I really appreciate a wider variety of movie genres but it's really difficult to narrow it down to anything in particular anymore.

What is Daclaud Lee's Favorite Food?
I grew up mainly on Chinese food because my parents owned a Chinese restaurant for over 20 years. When I was young my father used to take me out to all kinds of restaurants, so I had a chance to experience many different types of cuisine so it's really hard for me to pick a favorite. I do remember being rather obsessive with certain foods though.
There was a time in my life when I would have listed Indian food as my favorite because I absolutely loved spices and curries, but there was also a time when I was obsessed with sushi, Chipotle, Taco Del Mar and Hot Head burritos, and Mediterranean style foods. The most uncommon food I've ever had was Somali and Ethiopian. The strangest fusion restaurant I've ever been to was a Cambodian and Mexican restaurant (now closed).
Nowadays I find myself interested in cooking and I even had a brief stint as a Chinese chef, but that didn't really work out as a career due to the long hours. The easiest dishes to prepare are Americanized Italian food, but I also like to make oven baked chicken wings because I like to experiment in the creation of different sauces and marinades. There was brief time when I was obsessed with making and marinating hamburgers (turkey and pork burgers too). The only thing I'm not good at is baking deserts. I can't seem to be able to do that properly, maybe it's because of my lack of patience.

What are Daclaud Lee's Hobbies?
I have always been obsessed with miniature soldiers (mainly medieval fantasy stuff). My interest in miniatures started when I was in 5th grade. I guess I developed this hobby due to the fact that my 5th grade teacher encouraged us to have a hobby (and for some reason, she did not count playing video games as a hobby), but I really wasn't interested in anything else at the time.
One day I picked up a video game magazine and they did an article about Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons and Dragons. The article made the game so interesting, that I had to check it out. Conveniently, there was a hobby store right across the street from my parent's restaurant and also a bookstore right down the shopping center strip, so I was able to dive right into and explore this hobby right right away.
I still remember my very first box of lead miniatures, it was the D&D Basic Heroes set. Long story short, I have been collecting and painting miniatures for over 20 years now and unless a catastrophic event happens and the world falls into post apocalyptic ruin, I don't plan on ever stopping. You can find out more about my miniature hobby obsession in my blog.

Daclaud Lee's Favorite Restaurants 2016
Right now I don't really eat out as much. I mainly focus on cooking myself as it saves a lot of money. It seems like dining out is getting to be an expensive hobby. I mean, it would be fine if that was all I did, but I have other expenses like Warhammer miniatures and Steam games (which are thankfully really cheap if you are willing to wait for the sales). I do go out for Pho a lot and there is this place in Dublin called Pho Chef that is not only reasonably priced, but is also good and filling. Hound Dog's Pizza is also a favorite for pizza an they have an amazing happy hour special (if you're ok with well drinks and cheap domestic beer). I also like Winking Lizard for their beer and wings (they have a lot of sauces to choose from). If you are looking for a less commercialized establishment, try Bob's Bar (for beer tours only), The Crafty Pint (they have the most amazing smoked wings I've ever had) or Gallo's Tap Room (similar to Winking Lizard on a smaller scale). I also like Pannini Opa for delicious Greek / Mediterranean Food and if I'm ever in the mood for Indian, Tadka has the biggest Indian buffet in town.- Vietnamese - Pho Chef
- Indian - Tadka
- Greek - Pannini Opa
- Casual - Winking Lizard
- Pizza - Hound Dog's Pizza
Daclaud Lee's Netflix Recommendations Update (2017)
October 2017: Be sure to check out Gotham. I finished watching Seasons 1 - 3 and I was really impressed! I really liked Robin Lord Taylor's portrayal of The Penguin.
November 2017: I just watched Stranger Things (seasons 1 and 2). It was a really cool show set in the 80's. It pays homage to sci fi and horror movies of the decade while using clever modern references.
